The Company

Semcasting is a privately owned and operated firm with headquarters in Andover, Massachusetts.  The Company was originally founded in 1998 as Genalytics, delivering the first commercial application of genetic algorithms to automate the statistical modeling process.  In 2005 we introduced On-Demand Targeting - an automated platform for generating targeting models for any direct mail campaign. Through our partner channel of 150 members Semcasting On-Demand is now supplying targeted data to nearly 1000 campaigns a year.

In 2008, the Company introduced its first data products; the Affluence Indicator Suite, in order to improve the accuracy and predictive power of financial and consumer data solutions and is licensed by a number of Fortune 500 organizations.  In 2010 we will expand on our Affluence Indicators and introduce our comprehensive online and offline compiled file covering over 225 million individual and over 500 online and offline reference variables.  To manage this Semcasting Data set we will introduce Semcasting Direct, a self-serve list management solution.

In 2009 Semcasting was formed through a management buyout.  With more clients moving toward email, online and social marketing the focus for Semcasting became clear; to continue to innovate by enhancing the targeting solutions for Advertisers by providing a channel agnostic solution for multi-channel targeting.

Management Team

Ray Kingman, CEO

Ray joined Genalytics in 2004 to lead the company in the development and commercialization of its automated targeting and data offerings.  An experienced innovator in the content management, analytics and data visualization fields, Ray directs the day-to-day operations of Semcasting.

Ray has also served as CEO of LightSpeed Software, a content management solution built through the acquisition and integration of multiple providers in the search, analytics, content management, authoring, and portal platform spaces. Prior to his tenure at LightSpeed, Ray was founder and president of a division of Thomson Reuters focused on providing syndicated web content solutions to self-directed investors and retail brokerage firms. As founder and president of DeltaPoint, Inc., a developer of analytics and data visualization products, he led the firm from its inception to its initial public offering. 

David Chen, Sr. VP of Operations

Dave manages multiple disciplines at Semcasting, including project management, IT, QA, production engineering, and database development. In his 30+ year career in the computer industry, he has had broad experience in numerous executive management positions.

With more than 22 years at Compaq/Digital Equipment Corporation, Dave's management responsibilities spanned sales, marketing, operations, software and hardware engineering, and channel management. He was founder and president of eBizPlus, a venture-funded software start-up, and served as chief operating officer of start-up Monetrics, Inc. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of Technology at DataScan Technologies. Dave holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Illinois and an MS in Operations Research from Lehigh University.

Brian Rivard, CTO

Since joining the company in 2000, Brian has been the hands-on leader, architect, and major contributor to all of Genalytics' and Semcasting software solutions. Brian brings over 25 years of experience in software development and technical management to Semcasting. As Chief Technology Officer, Brian has most recently focused on designing and developing distributed Web-based architectures for semantic mapping.

Prior to joining Semcasting, Brian was a Development Manager with Segue Software. He has led a number of large teams as a hands-on technical manager and developer at various organizations working on a wide variety of projects. He holds BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts, and an MBA degree from Northeastern University.

Kevin Petrillo, CFO

As Chief Financial Officer, Kevin is responsible for directing all financial operations and controls, in addition to financial planning, cash management, financial analysis, investor relations, tax, and financial reporting.  In prior roles Kevin has served as a President and CEO, CFO, Vice President of Finance, Director of Operations and brings a wealth of experience in the management of new and growing businesses.  Most recently, as a founding member and CEO of HighStreet Networks, Inc., Kevin was instrumental in the sale of HighStreet to Alphatron Asia, Inc.

Geetha Neelakantiah, VP of Business Development

Geetha leads the business development effort including the key relationships our partners program with database marketers and integrators.  Her 10+ years in direct marketing provides Semcasting and our partners with a depth of expertise in multi-channel campaign planning, design and implementation.  Her experience includes managing the critical components of model development, data integration, segmentation, campaign staging and results analysis.  Fortune 500  retail, travel & entertainment, finance, insurance, auto and franchise sectors have all achieved superior marketing results through Geetha’s efforts and insights.
